Sometimes they don't get the understanding and support they need and might even face blame. They could be denied crucial help, both practical and financial. Plus, decision-makers with power might end up siding with the wrong person. It's pretty devastating because it leaves already vulnerable people in an even tougher spot. Check out this campaign—it's a prime example of what's going on.
