Last year Ranrikestudios produced and Jonas Wolcher directed RYDA, (by TKK) his first music video in 5 years.

Producer Helen Brunestål: - The video was shot within two days of September in and the outside of Hamburgsund, norra Bohuslän, Sweden. The main location was Scen på Bônn outside Hamburgsund. An amphitheatre located in an old quarry, a beautiful spot where many celebrities have visited over the years.

The main star in the video was the very handsome Malte Aronsson who played the record manager Stefan Prydz. The interior of the record company was shot at Skärets Verksamhet/Kontorshotell in Hamburgsund. Malte is a well-known actor who has been is several of Jonas productions.

IMPRESSIVE LOCATION

One of the most impressive spots was Sibirien, the old quarry by the sea.

It was very windy that evening. Our fire performer was placed just by the shore juggling with fire pois.

I signed some books for Film and Rekvisita Muséet in Mölnlycke.
The owner Fredrik was very happy for a copy of the book.

Do you dare to watch Cannibal Fog?

Lars Lundgren and Malte Aronsson in the man eating kitchen scene

…there is a nice blend of humor and levity to break up the seriousness which at times impede the progress, and if you’re willing to overlook the sometimes atrocious acting and scenarios, then you can enjoy the display that Jonas Wolcher has laid out in front of you.

”Release the Beast”! Jonas Wolcher jagar dig.

JONAS WOLCHER – Regissör  Jonas Wolcher Artist – Facebook Jonas Wolcher – IMDB

JDB: Berätta om Dragonetti – The Ruthless Contract Killer?

JDB: Har du några skelett i garderoben?

JW: Massor.

Swedish dubbing legend goes viking

Bild
Bild

Swedish actor Peter Sjöquist grew up near a Viking excavation site in a suburb outside Stockholm. A visit there as an eight year old initiated a reading frenzy and he read everything he could find about Vikings. Now he will become one himself in Nikita Ivanenko Viking saga “ The Dead Man's Mound ”, thanks to Jonas Wolcher who is producing this big production.

hen Jonas Wolcher first started planning this studio picture, Peter Sjöquist was one of the first to get involved. They had been in contact through LinkedIn and Jonas was impressed by Peter’s acting style. He asked Peter if he would mind running around with guns, shooting monsters in one of his films and Peter was thrilled. When Ivanenko’s script the found its way to Jonas’ desk, he immediately thought of Peter as one of the hardboiled Vikings. As Peter also is an acknowledged voice artist and director of Swedish dubbed films with more than thirty years of experience, Jonas wanted him to be a part of the post-production team and to be more involved in the project.
Peter will bring a lot of experience into this team and has been directing the Swedish versions of Cars, CARS 2, Ratatouille, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Arthur And The Minimoys and Alice In Wonderland to mention a few. The work with Arthur And The Minimoys made Luc Besson write a letter to express his gratitude over the Swedish version of his film. Peter has also many years of experience from Pinewood Studios and sound mixing for cinema.

Right now I’m really excited to see this project grow so fast. It’s been a
privilege to work with Jonas from the beginning and I’m so impressed
by him. In productions I get excited when everyone works as one unit,
and a project comes to life.”

PASSION FOR WRITING
“I love storytelling. I tell stories as an actor and I’ve always loved acting
in front of the camera and to see what I can express within a given
space. That applies to my photography. I tell a story and decides what
the audience can see or not, the rest is up to their imagination. The
same goes for writing, it’s all about storytelling and I’ve been privileged
enough to get a publishers contract for a book I’m working on right
now.”

the age of eight and he joined small theatre groups for kids. When he was seventeen
he got his first big role in the film Sova Räv where he worked side by side with some of
Swedens most distinguished actors. He learned a lot about film acting from the films
DoP, Bille August. The year after Sova Räv he came in at the National Academy of

Looking back! Making of Octolabs second music video. Mind and Matter

Horror producer Jonas Wolcher known for strange titles such as the zombie cult movie “DIE ZOMBIEJÄGER” “HERMIT: MONSTER KILLER” and “CANNIBAL FOG” is back for the second time. “Mind and Matter” by Octolab. The band who consist of Arielle Andersson and Fredrik Lundvall Kindsäter.
Fredrik is more known for one of the band members in the cult electro-duo Presto Fervant.
Recently the band played at Electronic Summer 2017 and a couple of days later they won first price for their music video “Caravan” at a film festival in Romania.

Arielle: – We are having so much fun going on right now. “Mind and Matter” is the part two of the trilogy from our mini album “To Be Continued” which was released in June. This video we shot in April 30th.

In October we film “ARTE” the last video from the album.
Octolab enjoys horror. “Mind and Matter is no exception. Like the previous “Caravan” the theme is horror but this time a much darker and sinister one. The story is taking off where the previous one ended. The cenobite characters are played once again by the band. The Swedish star Ida Karolin Johansson and her co star Emelie Andersson are back as well including Malte Aronsson known from “CANNIBAL FOG”.

Jonas Wolcher - Ida Karolin Johansson - Malte Aronsson

“It seems like ages since we did “Caravan”. During the shooting I felt a bit insecure at first. I’ve never acted before. This time I was much more comfortable in my costume and makeup”, says Arielle and laughs.
Jonas: “We are like one big happy family getting together making wonderful videos. It’s always fun working with Octolab. Both Fredrik and Arielle are both very easy to work with and they give me a lot of space for ideas.

Jonas:  “It was a pleasure to make this video. Me and my DoP David Eric Nilsson played a lot with angles, different film techniques, cameras lenses, filters and masks. Masks were the essential for the video”.
The idea came from one line of the lyrics and then we just kept that. You can hide your face behind the mask or to pretend you are someone else.

More of everything

“Mind and Matter was in much larger scale than the first part. More of everything. More effects, makeup, equipment, extras and people behind the camera. We also used a lot of practical effects such as blood and gore. On the set we were nearly 20 people in the crew.
Jonas: – It’s all about the eyes! Arielle, Emelie and Ida they all have very nice eyes to look at.
The release date for “Mind and Matter” is the 9/9 2017. Prepare yourself for some suspense and action.

The editing process of the video.
